´╗┐The Loomis Racquet Academy is a small, intensive, and fun tennis camp on the gorgeous campus of Swarthmore College. Campers will learn about all facets of the game in a structured yet nurturing environment. Instruction is conducted in small groups with a focus on fundamentals, but also stressing an individualized approach so that each camper is challenged and can improve their specific needs.

In the morning, we cover the different strokes and patterns and reinforce proper technique through high energy drills. Along with specific drills, we also have our students learn how to use them with game-based and situational play. To conclude the morning session, we run our fitness program and wrap it up with a large group game. After the lunch break, campers will play matches under the watchful tutelage of the coaches and we will discuss good sportsmanship, tactics, and mental strategies. We have an array of learning aides that will help beginner players as well as video analysis to help campers visually see their strokes.

Plus, during the last hour of the afternoon session, the campers have an option to play other racquet sports or other related, supervised activities. With all of the fun evening activities and the always entertaining awards and video ceremony, the Loomis Racquet Academy will be an enriching week for kids of all ages.
